Thoughts About Counseling

"One of the most difficult things to do is to walk into a therapist's office for the very first time.  It takes bravery to allow someone you don't know to come into your life and your world.  I think my clients are strong and courageous to take this step, and I am honored to be allowed the privilege to assist my clients."

Preferred Areas of Work

I have a special interest in working with those who have suffered losses, whether through death, loss of relationships, and the losses associated with divorce, trauma, chronic illnesses, and the aging process.  Having worked with the Veterans Administration for many years before going into private practice, I enjoy working with veterans and their families, recognizing the many sacrifices that these individuals have made and the special challenges that this population often face.
